Remembering Johnny Wayne Cole

Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Wayne Cole will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Interment will follow in Woodworth Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

Mr. Cole, 62, of Woodworth, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Johnny was a loving father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He loved fishing, hunting, and woodworking, and took great pride in being a member of the Four Winds Tribe Cherokee. Johnny enjoyed traveling, whether it was for work or simply because he liked to “make a block” and see where the road would take him. He will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, strong work ethic, and the love he shared with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Cole; his father, Johnny Oscar Cole; and his stepmother, Patsy Cole.

Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include one son, Kenneth Cole (Monica) of Alexandria; one daughter, Kelly Cole of Woodworth; three grandsons, Miles Walters, Branson Walters, and Riley Cole; two granddaughters, Abigail Walters and Mallory Cole; his mother, Beulah Faye Rivera; two brothers, Roger Cole and Charles Cole; and three sisters, Becky Cole, Maridia Cole, and Vanessa Cole.

A time of visitation will be held at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville, on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
