DOTD advises motorists that on the night of Tuesday, June 9, 2026, LA 116 at the intersection of US 165 will be closed as part of an ongoing $1.1 million project to improve two intersections along the US 165 corridor in Pineville.

This nighttime full road closure is scheduled to take place from approximately 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. for one night and is necessary to allow paving operations to take place.

Additionally, the US 165 southbound left-turn lane and the US 165 northbound right-turn lane onto LA 116 will be closed. Access to the Murphy Gas Station from US 165 northbound will be maintained, and access to the Walmart driveway from LA 116 will remain open.

All other lanes on US 165 northbound and southbound will remain open.

DOTD said the work is critical to extending the service life of the roadway and improving travel through the area.
