A section of Will White Road in Ward 7, District E, will be closed to thru traffic beginning Wednesday, May 20, 2026, due to bridge replacement work, according to a public notice from the Rapides Parish Police Jury.

The closure will begin at 8 a.m. and is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks or until further notice, depending on the progress of construction.

Officials said the road will be fully closed to through traffic during the project to allow crews to safely complete bridge replacement work. Drivers in the area are advised to plan alternate routes and expect delays.

The notice was issued by the Rapides Parish Police Jury, which thanked residents for their patience and cooperation during the construction period.
