Home going services for George C. Stewart will be Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Sandy Lake Pentecostal Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Joel Ford Sr. and Bro. Stacy Pittman officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am. until 12pm. with service starting at 12pm. Interment will be at Old Catahoula Church Cemetery; Enterprise, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria.

George C. Stewart age 80 of Jonesville, LA passed from this life April 14, 2026, at his home with loved ones by his side. George was born July 1, 1945, in Harrisonburg, LA. George was a veteran of the US Navy with National Defense Service Medal Honors for 4 years. He worked in the offshore and oversea oil field for many years as a mechanic before pursuing a career in the logging industry. He was a caring and giving man that would help anyone he saw in need. He was a faithful friend, loving husband, and grandfather. He loved his family and church family, but his heartbeat was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Ethel F. Stewart; three brothers Donnie, Herman and James Stewart; one sister Norma Adams.

Those left to cherish his memory are His wife of 26 years Sherry B. Stewart; daughter Delisa Grantham and husband Kenny Grantham of Jonesville, LA; son Ronnie Carlton and wife Vickie Carlton of Jena, LA; brothers Richard Stewart and wife Bonnie of Jena, LA; Eugene (Buck) Stewart and wife Donna of Olla, LA; sister Joyce Bratton of Uraina, LA. Grandchildren Naomi Grantham, Ethan Carlton, Quincy Grantham and wife Candy, Anna Perkins and husband Sawyer. Great Grandchildren Aiddah and Scotty Perkins and Alyssa and Kolton Grantham and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: James Bratton, Quincy Grantham, Ethan Carlton, Sawyer Perkins, Rodney Wiley and Branton Crawford. Honorary Pallbearers: Mark Brown and J.C. Tolbert.
