Mr. Donald Chaffin, age 72, of Pollock, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Pollock. He was born on January 25, 1954, at Huey P. Long Hospital in Pineville, Louisiana.

Donald was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing, where he could relax and enjoy nature. He also had a passion for working with his hands, often building and creating things out of wood. His craftsmanship and creativity were admired by those who knew him.

Known for his lighthearted spirit, Donald was a natural joker who loved to laugh and make others smile. He enjoyed cutting up with his friends and never missed a chance to share a good time. One of his favorite pastimes was simply hanging out with his best friend, Duke, who was a constant companion.

Donald will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Henry and Bobbie Faye Sanders Chaffin; brother, James Ray Chaffin; and niece, Sonnie Rebecca Rivers Thompson.

Those left to celebrate and cherish his memories are his children, Donald Bradley Chaffin (Whitney) and Kathy Lovell (Errol); grandchildren, Bentley Bradley Chaffin and Nate Pilgrim; and siblings, David Carrol Chaffin, Geraldine Mayo, Brenda Lewis, Sheryl Deville Christine Simmons, and Rita Gale Warren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
