Louisiana Central presents unified roadmap for economic growth

An eclectic group of business, government, education, and community leaders gathered at Alexandria’s Central Louisiana Regional Port on March 18 to witness the launch of Central Louisiana’s Strategic Economic Development Plan, the culmination of months of work and travel throughout Louisiana Central’s 10 parish area.

The plan, known as “Elevate Central” looks at the Central Louisiana region parish by parish, listing each community’s strengths and challenges as well as those of the region as a whole. The plan serves as a roadmap for the path ahead in creating opportunities and a better, stronger economy for everyone.

The plan centers around four key points that will frame and inform efforts by stakeholders in building a better Central Louisiana. 1. Demonstrate Organizational Excellence. 2. Bold and connected economic development. 3. Stronger strategic initiatives and partnerships. and 4. Proactive marketing and communications.
