Rapides Parish School Board officials welcomed three members of the Louisiana Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) for a visit to local campuses and a meeting with students.

During the visit, BESE President Simone Champagne, District 3 Member Sandy Holloway, and District 5 Member Lance Harris toured three schools and attended the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board’s final meeting of the year.

Students had the opportunity to engage directly with state education leaders, making the most of the visit through discussion and participation.

The visit highlighted collaboration between state leadership and local schools, as well as continued investment in student voices and educational growth across Rapides Parish.
