The Alexandria Police Department responded to the intersection of Murray Street and Second Street in reference to a one-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at approximately 3:55pm. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition. Routine toxicology samples were collected from the driver of the motor vehicle and were submitted.

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
