Remembering Bernadette Normand

November 20, 1945 – September 30, 2025

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette Normand, who left us on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on November 20, 1945, in Deville, Louisiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 6, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Deville with Reverend Kurian Zachariah officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Deville.

Pallbearers will be Richard Normand, Marshall Swain, Devon Paulk, Brandon Walker, Curtis Littleton, and Josh Morace.

The family requests that visitation be observed from 5:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Hixson Brother, Pineville with a Rosary at 8:00 p.m.

Bernadette was an incredible person whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She dedicated many years of her life as a bookkeeper at Lone Star Feed Mill, where her meticulous work and cheerful demeanor made a lasting impression on her colleagues and clients alike.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward and Myrtle Belgard Deville; daughter, Sherree Swain; sister, Nadine Deville Ryder, and brothers, Alfheus Deville, and Tommy Deville.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Sam Normand, Jr.; sons, Sam Normand III (Stacey), and Richard Normand (Bessie); grandchildren, Marshall Swain, Kacey Paulk (Devon), Laci Rambo (Devin), Garett Normand (Trinity), Noel Normand, and Matthew Normand; great grandchildren, Alexia Normand, Lily Paulk, John Rambo, and Matthew Rambo; a host of nieces, and nephews.
