Officers with the Pineville Police Department spent part of last week testifying in a second-degree murder trial stemming from a 2023 homicide. This tragic case involved the loss of 26-year-old Tucker Gibson, whose life was taken in a senseless act of violence.
The defendant, Rayford Brice III, who was only 18 at the time, now faces life in prison for his actions.
PPD expressed gratitude for the hard work of the Rapides Parish District Attorney’s Office and the dedicated members of the Criminal Investigations Bureau. Their commitment and passion to seek justice ensures that families of victims are not forgotten. PPD expressed hope that this step provides even a small measure of closure for Mr. Gibson’s family as they continue to heal.
