The Pineville Police Department was notified of a stabbing that occurred in the 100 block of Fox Street on Thursday, Aug. 14 at approximately 7:44am.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident began as a domestic dispute and ended with one individual being stabbed in the back. Officers responded promptly; however, the suspect, identified as Shermaine Sampson, fled the scene before their arrival.
The Criminal Investigations Bureau responded and processed the scene. Based on the evidence gathered, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Ms. Sampson for one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder. Ms. Sampson was later arrested.
