Lady Chops to be RPL’s last Summer Reading Entertainment starting this morning

The Rapides Parish Library invites the public to join them this week for the last Summer Reading Entertainment of the summer: Lady Chops.

She will be here starting today, July 21, at the Main Library at 10 a.m., and she will end the week at the King Branch on Friday, July 25. Don’t miss the LAST performer of the summer.

Elizabeth Vidos, also known as Lady Chops, is a talented percussionist whose past work includes performing in the hit Off-Broadway show “STOMP” and the New Orleans Jazz Festival. This summer Lady Chops is bringing lively Latin beats to the library along with a variety of Latin percussion instruments for kids to join in and play. She will showcase traditional instruments like the timbales, congas, and merengue guira. Kids will learn basic rhythms and movement experiencing the energy of Latin percussion firsthand.
