RPL to host opioid education, harm reduction informational

The Rapides Parish Library will be offering an opioid education and harm reduction informational. These important sessions are aimed to increase awareness about the opioid crisis in Louisiana and provide practical tools to help reduce harm in communities.

The sessions will help attendees learn about the opioid crisis and its impact on CenLA, discover resources and services for individuals affected by Opioid Use Disorder, connect with organizations offering support and treatment, and receive harm reduction education and learn how to use NARCAN, a life-saving medication that can reverse opioid overdoses.

This initiative is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Visit a local branch at the scheduled times below. A representative from the Office of Public Health will be on-site at a table in each library location during the listed times.
