Three parish softball teams bid for state championships this weekend in Sulphur, playing semifinal games today, while the Buckeye baseball team is at home this afternoon and hopefully Saturday in its state quarterfinal best-of-three series against visiting Vandebilt Catholic.

The Grace Christian softball team is the defending Class B champion.
