
Patrol deputies took a walk-in complaint at the Tioga Substation in reference to an alleged assault on April 15. According to the victim, an older white male driving an older model tan Chevrolet truck allegedly brandished and pointed a firearm at them near the intersection of US 71 N and LA 3225 (Shreveport Highway).
Patrol deputies took the initial report and attempted to locate the vehicle but were unable to do so. Sheriff’s Detectives from the Tioga Substation were assigned the case for further investigation.
Sheriff’s Detectives interviewed the victim and were able to obtain photos of the suspects truck. From their investigation, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Robert Dale Allen, 66 of Montgomery. Detectives located Allen and were able to establish sufficient probable cause for a warrant to be issued for Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Aggravated Assault.
On April 16, Allen was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was booked on the charges. Detectives also recovered the firearm allegedly used in the incident. Allen was released the next day on a $6,000 bond.
