In the early weeks of February 2025, the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit began receiving multiple anonymous complaints in reference to a suspect allegedly selling Fentanyl in Rapides Parish.
An investigation was immediately initiated and the primary suspect was identified as Calvin Joseph Celestine, II, 41 of Alexandria.
Through a variety of investigative techniques, the complaints were confirmed and arrest warrants for Celestine were obtained. Through their investigation, Agents were also able to obtain search warrants for two locations Celestine had control of.
Due to Celestine’s current felon status, prior criminal history and the fact he is currently on probation for narcotics convictions, RADE Agents requested the assistance pf the Alexandria Police Department (APD) and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO) SWAT Teams to assist in the execution of the search warrants.
On April 1 APD SWAT arrived at 6511 Joyce Street while RPSO SWAT arrived at 622 Palmer Street in Alexandria. Both locations were secured without incident and O’Bryan Patrick Johnson was found inside the Palmer Street location and a search was conducted. Agents located approximately three ounces of Fentanyl packaged in four individual plastic bags, just less than one pound of Marijuana, 1.8 grams of Crack Cocaine, 3.5 grams of Synthetic Marijuana, and a variety of drug paraphernalia were all located inside the residence.
Celestine was found inside his residence at the Joyce Street location and a search was conducted. A small amount of marijuana along with over $7,000 in cash was located. Agents also found evidence that Celestine was selling Fentanyl from the Palmer Street location at his residence.
Johnson and Celestine were both taken into custody without incident and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked on various narcotics related charges. Celestine remains in jail at the time of this release being held on a $200,000 bond. Johnson remains in jail at the time of this release being held on a $102,500.
