RADE arrests Alexandria couple on drugs, weapons charges

In February 2025, the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit received community complaints in reference to alleged narcotics activity from a residence on Shirland Avenue in Alexandria. Agents quickly identified Leroy Turner, 36 as a possible suspect.
 
RADE Agents began their investigation and the complaints were confirmed. Agents were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Turner for Distribution of CDS II (Methamphetamines). Additionally, Agents were able to secure a narcotic search warrant for Turner’s house. RADE Agents requested assistance from the Alexandria Police Department (APD) SWAT Team to serve the search and arrest warrants.
 
On March 26 RADE agents, along with APD SWAT, executed the search warrant at 1425 Shirland Avenue. Leroy Turner and his wife Brittany Wayvette McGlory were both present at the residence. Turner was immediately arrested for the Distribution warrant.
 
A search of the residence revealed two softball size plastic bags containing what agents believe is synthetic Marijuana. Also located hidden under the mattress of their bed was three handguns, one of which had been reported stolen. Four more baseball sized plastic baggies containing synthetic Marijuana were found in another location in the residence.
 
Turner was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center and booked for the Distribution of CDS II (Methamphetamines) warrant, Possession of CDS I (Synthetic Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm with Drugs, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Turner remains in jail at the time of this release being held on a $350,500 bond.
 
McGlory was arrested and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center where she was booked for Possession of CDS I (Synthetic Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm with Drugs, and four outstanding Contempt of Court warrants. McGlory was released the following day on a $54,000 bond.
 
A deputy who is assigned to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) as a Task Force Officer, was notified and took possession of the firearms on the same day. Additional Federal charges may be pending.
 
The Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit is a multi-jurisdictional team comprised of the Alexandria Police Department, Ball Police Department, Boyce Police Department, Cheneyville Police Department, Forest Hill Police Department, Glenmora Police Department, Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office Lecompte Police Department, McNary Police Department, Pineville Police Department, Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, Woodworth Police Department, Grant Parish District Attorney’s Office and the Rapides Parish District Attorney’s Office.
 
The RADE Unit continues to target individuals suspected of trafficking narcotics in the Central Louisiana area.
