The winter storm impacting the state has created hazardous icy and slick roadway conditions. These conditions are worsening, resulting in widespread closures, with poor weather expected to persist through today. Extended roadway closures are anticipated.
For everyone’s safety, LSP and APD are strongly urging residents to avoid ALL travel.

If travel is necessary for emergency reasons:
• Always buckle up.
• Drive at cautious speeds and avoid sudden braking.
• If the driver loses control, steer into the skid.
• Never drive around barricades blocking roadways—this is illegal and can result in fines or arrest.
