Interim Chief of Police Roy Fore has announced that former Captain Kimberly Mixon will step into his former role as Deputy Chief of Police in Pineville.

Fore became interim chief Monday.

With 24 years of dedicated service to the Pineville Police Department, Deputy Chief Mixon has been an integral leader, most recently serving as the Commander of Community Affairs, Fore said in a release.

Throughout her career, she has worked tirelessly to build strong relationships with the community and businesses of Pineville, fostering trust and collaboration for the betterment of the department and the city, he said.

Deputy Chief Mixon will continue her commitment to enhancing public safety and strengthening community connections in her new role, the release states.
