At-large City Council member Lee Rubin‘s campaign reports 15 contributions of $1,000 more. His primary election opponent Tracye Snow’s lists three.
The data is in reports filed with the state Ethics Commission for the period January 1-October 16.
Through that date Rubin’s campaign had received contributions of about $41,000 and spent about $12,500 on the campaign.
Combined with $8,000 on hand at the year’s start the campaign had a reporting balance of about $36,000.
Snow’s campaign started the year with no previously collected funds.
It received about $13,300 in contributions, about $3,200 in in-kind and a $5,000 loan from the candidate and her husband Jeff.
After expenses of $10,800 the campaign had $7,500 on hand on the reporting date.
Snow’s campaign lists three contributors of $1,000 or more: Elise Howerton and Patty Small, both of Alexandria, and Tricia Howerton of Burke, VA.
The Rubin campaign reports 16 contributions of $1,000 or more:
$2,500 – Cenla Strong PAC, Sam Mahfouz;
$2,000 – Diamond B Construction, JV Properties, Petron LLC;
$1,500 – Martin Heyman, Pan American Engineers, Lee Bo’s;
$1,000 – Thomas David, Lawrence Dreup, Hunter & Beck LLP, Meyer Meyer Lacroix & Hixson, Ralph Sisco, Richard B. Crowell, Michael W. Dole M.D., Thomas Wahlder.
