Join Kyah Iles this Friday at 6 p.m. in the Large Meeting Room of the Westside Library as she presents the powerful survivor story and suicide prevention session, Living Six Feet Above.
Iles, founder of the nonprofit Six Feet Above, is a motivational speaker, certified suicide interventionist, self-care coach, and crisis intervention trainer who has shared her powerful story of resilience with others and trained over 8500 members of law enforcement, educators, soldiers, professionals, and students across Louisiana.
She named her non-profit Six Feet Above because she knew she should’ve been six feet under. After surviving her own attempt, she had a new mission in life: help others through education, resources, and encouragement to find the hope she once lost herself.
Learn how to recognize signs in loved ones struggling in silence. Listen to the story of someone who’s walked through darkness. Don’t miss this powerful presentation this Friday in honor of # NationalSuicidePreventionMonth .
Westside Regional Library is located at 5416 Provine Place, Alexandria.
