A familiar face will still fill the District 5 seat on the next Alexandria City Council.

Chuck Fowler, whose tenure is in double-digit years, won another term Friday, qualifying unopposed in the November primary.

In District 1 Malcolm Larvadain filed to run for the post he once held, losing to Reddex Washington Jr. in a 2020 runoff.

Washington and Derrick Alexander are also on the ballot.
