Project Update: Bridge Closures on LA 121 in Hineston

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that, weather permitting, work to repair the three (3) existing bridges over the Calcasieu River on LA 121 near Hineston will begin on Monday, March 25, 2024. These repairs are necessary to keep the existing bridges in service until the new bridges are completed. This will require the roadway to be closed to all traffic. The duration of this closure is expected to be three (3) weeks.

Permit/Detour Section
The contractor will begin repairs on Monday, March 25, 2024.
Westbound traffic will be detoured to LA 465, to LA 489, and back to LA 121.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured to LA 489, to LA 465, and back to LA 121.
