Drug charges latest round of trouble from 27-year-old Broussard

Kelsey Broussard, bonded out on February 7, was back in the parish jail on felony drug charges Tuesday. She bonded out Wednesday.

Broussard, 27, of Alexandria is charged with possession, paraphernalia, theft and criminal damage. Bail was set at $4,000.

On February 3 she was arrested about 2:30 am, accused of possession, paraphernalia and of having Controlled Dangerous Substance in the presence of a person under 17, posting $8,000 bond four days later.

In November 2019 Broussard was allegedly driving a vehicle that ran off Twin Bridges Road at Castor Plunge Road and rolled down an embankment.

A female passenger, unrestrained according to police, was killed.

A toddler, property restrained, suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

Broussard on January 30, 2020 was booked on a negligent homicide charge. She posted $25,000 bond two hours later.
