Pineville firefight draws attempted murder charges on two Alexandria men

Pineville police say 33, that is not a typo – 33, shots were fired during in a clash Thursday evening.

Two Alexandria residents are charged with three counts each of attempted 2nd degree murder. A man wounded in the 5:30 p.m. encounter was hospitalized.

Details about the El Toro Apartments incident are still being gathered by investigators.

Charged with the attempted murders and other counts are Cartez Dotson, 36, and Terrance Partee, also 36.

What provoked the shooting and whether the accused did all the shooting has not been released, if yet determined.

Both suspects remain in parish lockup. Bail is set at $310,000 and $320,000 respectively.
