Pineville City Council held its June 2023 meeting on June 13 at Pineville City Hall.
Among the many items of importance on the agenda was the setting of a Public Hearing and Special Council Meeting on June 30 at 12 pm for the adoption of the City’s Budget.
Also on the agenda was the introduction of Pineville’s newest Police Officers. Officer Denzel Bradley received his badge from his father, Alexandria Police Lt/ Executive Officer Darrell Bradley and Officer Devin Durr received his badge from his father, former Colfax Police Chief Preston Durr.
The Pineville Fire Department also welcomed two new Firefighters to their ranks as Jeremiah Droddy and Terrell House received their badges and helmet shields.
Special Recognition was given to former Pineville High School Girls Basketball and Softball Coach Jackie Laborde-Monkhouse as she was recently inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame. With many friends and former players on hand, presentations were made to Coach Laborde-Monkhouse by Mayor Rich Dupree and State Senator Jay Luneau in recognition of her accomplishments.
