The first step in establishing a new SOUTH SUBSTATION between Lecompte and Cheneyville was taken on June 8 as the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office partnered with the Rapides Parish Fire District 12 in another Joint Public Safety Complex mission.
Deep South Patrol Deputies will be routed out of the new South Substation as well as a Detective and the Echo-Poland Resident Deputy to better serve the citizens in this area and shorten response time.
Chief Lee Stanley, Assistant Chief Steve Halbert and Board Member Edward Beaver have worked to help make this project a reality.
