Bethel Road Bridge Closure begins June 19

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that beginning Monday, June 19 at 7 am, weather permitting, Bethel Road (Bridge) work will begin. Bethel Road will be closed ¼ of a mile from the intersection of Hwy 1207. This work is needed to replace an existing timber bridge with a new concrete slab span bridge.

This is an off-system bridge project for the Rapides Parish Public Works Department that was awarded to Merrick Construction, LLC in the amount of $1, 189,285.30. This work is expected to last approximately 4 months.
