Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Madeleine Bordelon Broussard will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Dan O’Connor officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Marksville.
Mrs. Broussard, age 88, of Marksville LA., passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 in St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Broussard, Sr.; parents, Kirby and Carrie Brou Broussard; sister, Sonia Normand.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Thomas J. Bordelon, Jr. of Marksville, LA.; daughters, Mary T. Lachney (Earlis) of Hessmer, LA and Angela M. Diehl (Louie); brother, Steve Bordelon (Johnny) of Marksville, LA. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home and will reopen on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. until shortly time of service. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2022 in the Chapel.
