
A 16-year-old has died following a hit-and-run crash involving pedestrians Tuesday night in Alexandria.
The Alexandria Police Department responded to the incident around 11:11 p.m. March 31 on Eddie Williams Avenue near the intersection of Tulane Avenue.
According to authorities, two pedestrians—a 16-year-old male and a 16-year-old female—were standing on the shoulder of the roadway when they were struck by a southbound vehicle. The driver fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Both victims were transported to Rapides Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The male victim, identified as Collin Lacaze, later died from his injuries.
