Two Rapides Parish locations, Beaver Lake Industrial Park and England Airpark, have been selected for Louisiana Economic Development’s FastSites program, the largest coordinated site investment effort in state history.
FastSites is designed to strengthen site and infrastructure readiness in advance of industry interest, allowing Louisiana to compete nationally for projects in advanced manufacturing, logistics, energy innovation, and other next-generation industries. Investments may include road and rail access improvements, utility upgrades, environmental remediation, and other infrastructure enhancements.
“FastSites reflects Louisiana’s commitment to solving challenges before they cost us projects,” said LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois. “By removing barriers ahead of time, we present Rapides Parish as truly project-ready.”
The program uses the $150 million Site Investment and Infrastructure Fund, ensuring that public dollars are reinvested as development occurs, creating a long-term pipeline of competitive sites. Additional details, including funding allocations for Rapides Parish sites, will be announced as agreements are finalized.
