The Alexandria Fire Department (AFD) was dispatched to a reported commercial structure fire on Feb. 17 around 5:39 am in the 1200 block of Dallas Street.

 

Fire crews arrived on the scene within two minutes of the initial dispatch. Upon arrival, they observed fire coming from metal debris piles outside a commercial building. AFD brought the fire under control within 30 minutes of the alarm.

 

The cause remains under investigation.
