ASH Marine Corps JROTC named a Naval Honor School

The Rapides Parish School Board announced that the Alexandria Senior High School Marine Corps JROTC was recently named a Naval Honor School – placing them among the TOP MCJROTC units in the entire nation.
 
The ASH cadets have had a great year. They’ve achieved:
  • STATE CHAMPIONS in both Armed (Blue Knights) & Unarmed (Phoenix) Drill Teams
  • 70+ competition trophies
  • 743 volunteer hours across 23 community service events
  • 30%+ maintained A/B Honor Roll ALL YEAR
  • Successfully hosted their 2nd annual “Central Louisiana Maneuvers” Drill Meet
ASH MCJROTC Senior Marine Instructor, Master Gunnery Sergeant Terry Hall, said, “It’s truly a partnership between our cadets, teachers and administration. This balance allows our cadets to enjoy a tremendously fulfilling high school journey that provides both tangible and intangible skills, ultimately shaping extremely strong young leaders.”
