England Airpark and Alexandria International Airport (AEX) will join other airports across North America in observing Airport Workers Day today across social media platforms.

This coordinated event underscores the indispensable contributions of airport personnel across all functions, such as passenger services, facility maintenance, and operations.

According to the Airports Council International-North America, “U.S. airports contribute $115.4B
in direct payroll, supporting 1.4 million on-airport workers representing every facet of airport
operations and business management.” AEX alone is responsible for more than 2,200 direct and
indirect jobs.
