Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call in reference to shots fired in a residence in the 200 block of Foxfire Subdivision at 5pm yesterday afternoon.
When deputies arrived, they observed an armed subject return back into the residence and initially did not communicate with deputies. In response, RPSO negotiators and SWAT were called to the scene to attempt to establish contact with the subject and bring this incident to a peaceful resolution.
RPSO negotiators and SWAT were able to bring the barricade situation to a peaceful resolution. Deputies advised that two subjects were taken into custody. More information will be released at a later date as this is still an ongoing investigation.
