Longtime Alexandria attorney and civic leader Charles S Weems was among the seven honorees from throughout the state inducted into the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame in its 33rd annual induction ceremony Saturday, April 5 at Winnfield’s civic center.
Winnfield’s Louisiana Political Museum and Hall of Fame tells the story of the state’s ofttimes colorful political history with historical artifacts and memorabilia. The Hall of Fame honors those politicians and civic leaders who have made a particularly noteworthy mark on our state’s leadership scene.
Charles S. Weems was recognized for a lifetime of public service to Alexandria and Louisiana. A Bolton high school alumnus, Weems went on to earn a Law degree with honors from LSU Law School.
