Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite instantly transports me to Christmas, no matter what time of the year it is. Attending the Nutcracker Ballet has been an annual tradition for as long as I can remember.
The Red River Dance Theatre Company will be performing their annual production of The Nutcracker this holiday season and they are inviting dancers and adults like me with no previous dance training to audition for placement in the show. That’s right! Even with two left mouse king feet, you can still participate in this beloved production about Clara and her nutcracker doll.
“Come be a part of the magical world of The Nutcracker. Everyone welcome, ages 6-adult. There’s a spot for everyone, even those with no dance experience. This will be our 34th year performing the fun ballet for central Louisiana,” Red River Dance shares. Red River Dance Theatre Company is Central Louisiana’s non-profit community dance company.
Auditions will be held Saturday August 10 at the following times:
Ages 6-8 9am-10am
Ages 9-10 10:15am-11:15am
Ages 11-12 11:30am-12:30pm
Ages 13 & up 1:00pm-2:00pm
