A public hearing is scheduled for June 19 in Baton Rouge on a proposal to renovate four different Alexandria affordable housing developments.

Rapides Housing 22 LP seeks a maximum of $11.2 million in multi-family housing revenue bonds for its $21.8 million upgrade of 196 units on Riverbend Drive, Autumn Orchard Drive, Pin Oak Lane, and Silverleaf Drive.

Changing market conditions since the La. Public Housing Corp. first received the proposal have altered the financial numbers.

In December 2022, the package sought $10 million in bond support for a $19.4 million project.

Standard Enterprises of Monroe is the owner-operator behind the project. It has tax credit projects in four states

LPHC is located at 2415 Quail Dr., Baton Rouge. The June 19 hearing is at 11 a.m.

Questions can be directed to Louis Russell, Director of Housing Development, at 225-763-8700. Persons unable to attend the hearing can send written comments to the Baton Rouge office.
