Roosevelt London Jr., 20, of Alexandria is facing his second murder charge this decade.

London was booked Sunday, accused of the 2nd degree murder of a Pineville man on the night of May 4.

The shooting occurred on Sycamore Street.

Bond is set at $1 million.

Records show London, 18 at the time, and two others were charged with 2nd degree murder in the shooting of a man on Lee Street on the night of Jan 28, 2021.

Bond was set at $500,000.

Also charged in that case were Yoko Atkins, 22, of Alexandria and a 17-year-old with juvenile identity protection.

In addition to murder Atkins was charged with criminal conspiracy and probation violation. Records indicate he was turned over to the Dept. of Corrections.

Status of the 2021 case is indeterminate from the jail record.
